Steps to register as a voter in Kenya

To register as a voter in Kenya, you need to follow a few simple steps:

Visit a Registration Centre
Go to your designated voter registration centre during official working hours. Registration can only be done in person  not online.

Bring Identification Documents
You must carry your original National ID card or a valid Kenyan passport. These documents will be used to confirm your eligibility.

Fill in the Registration Form
At the centre, you’ll be asked to complete the Application for Registration (Form A). The form collects your personal information and preferred polling station.

Receive an Acknowledgement Slip
Once you’ve successfully registered, the officer will give you a registration acknowledgement slip that includes your voter details.

Note: The slip is not required for voting. You only need your ID or passport on election day.
