Borabu parliamentary aspirant Morara Kebaso has publicly endorsed former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i's bid for the presidency, describing him as the most capable candidate to lead Kenya ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement shared on his X account on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Kebaso praised Matiang’i's leadership record, saying it stood above that of other presidential hopefuls across the political divide.
"Fred Matiang’i needs strong soldiers who are loyal and true. His performance record stands head and shoulders above any candidate from any movement or coalition," Kebaso said.
Kebaso pledged to campaign actively for Matiang’i, expressing confidence that the former cabinet secretary is best placed to address the country's challenges.
"We will work tirelessly day and night to ensure that he becomes the President of Kenya. He is the only one who can fix the mess," he added.
The parliamentary aspirant also signalled his willingness to work with leaders backing other presidential candidates, expressing hope that coalition negotiations would produce a united front ahead of the 2027 elections.
"To those who have endorsed other candidates, we wish you well. We hope to form a coalition and work together but if negotiations fail, tutapatana kwa debe," he said.
