The County Government of Homa Bay has announced immediate changes to its executive team following an executive order signed by Governor Gladys Wanga on December 1, 2025. The reshuffle targets three strategic dockets as the administration pushes to enhance efficiency in service delivery.
Danish Onyango Takes on Additional Role

Dr. Peter Ogolla Dismissed
In the same directive, Governor Wanga dismissed Dr. Peter Ogolla from his position as the CEC in charge of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development. The decision was executed under Section 35(a) of the County Governments Act, which allows the governor to release a CEC member when deemed necessary for effective governance.
