Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has questioned the proposed Vision 2060 development agenda, arguing that Kenyans deserve better than promises that are not matched by meaningful action.
In a statement shared on his X account, Amisi invoked a popular saying about the limits of deception while expressing his reservations about the long-term vision.
“You can lie to some people all the time, you can even lie to some people sometimes but you can never lie to all the people all the time,” Amisi stated.
The lawmaker concluded his message with a call for better governance, saying, “Kenya deserve better.”
Amisi’s remarks come amid growing political debate over President William Ruto’s proposed development framework beyond Vision 2030, with political leaders divided over the government’s record and the need for a new long-term national agenda.
The proposed Vision 2060 framework is expected to shape discussions on Kenya’s economic transformation and development priorities in the decades ahead
