In a bid to strengthen security across Kikuyu Constituency, Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah handed over motorcycles to the District Security Committee on Monday morning.
The donation, made under the Constituency Economic Empowerment Program, is aimed at supporting local police posts and patrol bases. According to Ichung’wah, the motorcycles will enhance patrol coverage and operational efficiency, particularly during the festive season, ensuring that homes and businesses remain safe.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to ensure that Kikuyu remains secure and that the prosperity of our constituency is protected,” Ichung’wah said during the handover ceremony.
The MP urged residents to continue collaborating with security agencies and report suspicious activities, emphasizing that community involvement is key to maintaining peace and security.
Local leaders and police officials welcomed the donation, noting that increased mobility would significantly improve response times and deter crime during the holiday period.
