Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has mourned the death of Mr John Muhia Njoroge, the father of Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia, describing him as a resilient family man whose life shaped a leader admired in Nyandarua.
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, Gachagua said the late Njoroge had endured a 12-year battle with kidney failure, a struggle he faced with courage and strength. “The late Njoroge Muhia demonstrated courage and great resilience in life,” Gachagua said, noting that his perseverance stood out even in prolonged illness.
The Deputy President said Kipipiri had lost a champion and a pillar of the community, adding that Njoroge’s values were evident in the leadership shown by his children. “The people of Kipipiri have lost a champion and a family man who brought forth a great leader, as Hon. Wanjiku Muhia and her siblings have demonstrated,” he said.
Gachagua extended condolences to the bereaved family and residents of Kipipiri, saying the loss was deeply painful. “My family and I send our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr Njoroge Muhia and the people of Kipipiri on this painful loss,” he said.
He also offered prayers for comfort and strength, urging the family to draw hope from faith during the mourning period. “I pray for peace and strength during this difficult moment. May you find comfort and courage in the Lord God to bear this grief,” Gachagua said.
The Deputy President concluded by paying tribute to the late Njoroge’s legacy, praying for eternal rest. “May the Almighty God rest the soul of Mr Njoroge Muhia in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever.”
