President William Ruto has reaffirmed his support for the Committee on the Implementation of the Ten-Point Agenda and the National Dialogue Committee Report (COIN-10), saying the initiative is key to uniting Kenyans and restoring trust in public institutions.
The president made the remarks after receiving a briefing and progress update from COIN-10 and the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) at State House, Nairobi. He emphasized that the process aims to foster transparency and accountability, while translating national consensus into practical reforms that strengthen democracy, improve daily life, and expand opportunities for all citizens.
The Ten-Point Agenda was initially launched as part of President Ruto’s broader development blueprint, focusing on economic transformation, youth empowerment, social cohesion, and governance reforms. The agenda seeks to address longstanding challenges in the delivery of public services and to ensure that government policies are more responsive to the needs of ordinary Kenyans.
COIN-10, established to oversee the implementation of this agenda, is tasked with reviewing progress, identifying gaps, and proposing measures to accelerate the reforms. NADCO, which works alongside the committee, provides coordination and oversight of national dialogue initiatives aimed at building consensus among diverse stakeholders, including political leaders, civil society, and community representatives.
During the briefing, the committee outlined progress made in key sectors, including governance reforms, citizen engagement initiatives, and programs designed to increase transparency in public service delivery. President Ruto noted that inclusive national dialogue is essential not only for policy implementation but also for bridging divisions within the country and reinforcing confidence in institutions.
“The dialogue process is designed to ensure that every Kenyan voice is heard and that the consensus reached translates into meaningful action,” President Ruto said. “It is through such inclusive processes that we can deliver reforms that improve livelihoods, strengthen democracy, and create opportunities for all.”
The administration has repeatedly highlighted the importance of public participation in governance, and the COIN-10 process is part of a wider effort to institutionalize citizen engagement in policymaking. By supporting the committee, President Ruto aims to ensure that the ten-point reforms are not only implemented but are sustainable, transparent, and inclusive, laying the foundation for long-term national cohesion and development.
