William Ruto has issued a strong condemnation of recent strikes targeting multiple Gulf states as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.
In a statement, the President said Kenya strongly condemns the attacks on the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain.
Ruto warned that the growing regionalisation of the conflict poses a grave threat to international peace and security, describing the moment as both defining and perilous in global history.
He emphasised that longstanding multilateral institutions remain indispensable in resolving the crisis and urged the international community to prioritise diplomatic channels over military escalation.
“Kenya calls for urgent multi-stakeholder engagement towards de-escalation,” the President stated.
The remarks position Kenya firmly in favour of dialogue and collective international action as fears mount over a wider regional conflict that could destabilise global security and economic stability.
