Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has declared that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is fully revitalised and ready for the next general election, assuring supporters that the party remains united and focused on strengthening its grassroots structures.
Speaking during the ODM Nairobi Youth Convention, Junet said the party is undergoing a phase of internal renewal under the leadership of acting party leader Oburu Oginga, whom he credited with steering efforts to reorganise and energise the movement ahead of the 2027 polls.
“The ODM Party is alive, solid and ready for the next polls. The party is revamping, revitalising and re-energising,” Junet said.
He urged young people within the party to remain active and engaged, warning against political distractions and attempts to divide the movement.
“Our party is one and indivisible under one party leader. Do not be swayed. The movement is on course,” he said.
Junet called on ODM youth to take a more active role in shaping the party’s future, saying their participation would be critical in determining its strength in the coming election cycle.
He added that ODM would contest the 2027 General Election either independently or through alliances, but maintained that the party was well prepared regardless of the political configuration.
“Alone or in an alliance, ODM is ready for 2027. Tuko tayari,” he said.
The remarks come as ODM intensifies internal mobilisation efforts, with senior leaders holding youth-focused engagements aimed at consolidating support and rebuilding party structures across the country.
Party officials say the youth wing is expected to play a central role in shaping ODM’s strategy as political realignments begin to take shape ahead of the next elections.
