Writing on her Facebook page on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Njoroge dismissed the notion that Sifuna's political future depends on financial muscle or the backing of influential political figures from Western Kenya.
She argued that Atwoli and other leaders were underestimating Sifuna by focusing on wealth, age and political establishment rather than the goodwill and momentum he enjoys.
"What Francis Atwoli, Ken Lusaka and the like forget is that there is a kind of favour that money cannot buy. It is the favour under which Edwin Sifuna is walking," Njoroge said.
Her remarks came after Atwoli suggested that anyone seeking the presidency must first secure significant financial resources to sustain a competitive national campaign.
Njoroge compared Sifuna's political journey to biblical figures Joseph and David, arguing that leadership is not always determined by wealth or status.
"It's the kind of grace that lifted Joseph from slavery to the palace, the grace that took David from the shepherd's field to the throne," she stated.
"The grace that pays no attention to wealth, seniority, age or status, but exalts whom God has chosen."
Predicts Sifuna will become president
The Jubilee official went further, expressing confidence that Sifuna would eventually rise to the country's highest office despite current scepticism.
"The Sifuna you look down upon today because he does not have money is the very one you will soon address as His Excellency," she said.
"And when that day comes, mtamsalimia na heshima."
Her remarks add to the growing political debate surrounding Sifuna's future, with several opposition leaders and supporters increasingly mentioning him as a potential presidential contender ahead of the 2027 General Election, even as no unified opposition candidate has been agreed upon.
