Supporters allied to the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) have alleged that the vehicle belonging to Mathira parliamentary aspirant Dominic Muraya was vandalised during the ongoing Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election.
According to the claims made on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the incident occurred at Mundi Polling Station, where Muraya's vehicle was reportedly damaged.
Those making the allegations further claimed that the individuals responsible for the vandalism were "government-sponsored goons" who were allegedly operating under the protection of plainclothes police officers.
The claims had not been independently verified at the time of publication, and neither the National Police Service nor the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had issued an official statement regarding the alleged incident.
The Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election has been marked by heightened political tensions, with rival camps trading accusations over violence, intimidation and electoral malpractice.
