People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua is set to lead a grassroots mobilisation tour in Murang’a County as the party seeks to strengthen its presence ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to a statement shared by the party on X on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, Karua will engage residents and supporters in several parts of Murang’a as PLP continues expanding its grassroots networks.
The tour will begin at Kiawanduma Coffee Factory before proceeding to Gitugi Shopping Centre, where the former presidential candidate is expected to meet supporters at the PLP office.
Karua will later visit Gikoe Shopping Centre before concluding her engagements at the PLP office in Kangema Town.
“Murang’a, we’re coming! On 31st July 2026, join HE Martha Karua at Kiawanduma Coffee Factory, Gitugi Shopping Centre, PLP Office, Gikoe Shopping Centre, and Kangema Town PLP Office,” the party announced.
The visit comes amid increased political mobilisation by various parties and leaders seeking to consolidate support across the country ahead of the 2027 elections.
As political parties intensify their grassroots activities, PLP is positioning itself as an alternative political force while seeking to build stronger support structures at the county level.
