Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has opened up on his decision to steer clear of public confrontations with President William Ruto and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, saying his political conduct is guided by self-reflection, maturity, and a deliberate pursuit of harmony.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on a local media station on Friday, December 26, 2025, Nyoro explained that as he has grown older in public life, he has become more intentional about how he engages in political disagreements, particularly with senior national leaders.
The youthful legislator noted that age and shared generational space have played a significant role in shaping his approach. He pointed out that he belongs to the same generation as the children of top political figures, a reality that has encouraged him to exercise restraint and mutual respect in his political engagements.
Nyoro said he believes politics should not be driven by personal attacks or public hostility, arguing that meaningful leadership requires calm dialogue and thoughtful decision-making rather than confrontational rhetoric. According to him, political differences can be addressed constructively without resorting to public spats that may deepen divisions.
The Kiharu MP further emphasized that personal reflection has helped him understand the long-term impact of words and actions in politics. He maintained that leaders must be conscious of the example they set, especially for younger generations who look up to them for guidance and inspiration.
Nyoro’s remarks come at a time when Kenya’s political landscape is increasingly characterised by sharp exchanges and public disagreements among senior leaders. His approach sets him apart as a proponent of measured politics, focused on stability and respectful engagement rather than political theatrics.
As the 2027 General Election approaches, Nyoro’s stance highlights an alternative leadership style anchored in maturity, dialogue, and coexistence, even amid differing political views.
