The Jubilee Party has strongly condemned what it describes as deliberate attempts to portray its party leader, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, as a political “boogeyman,” warning that such a strategy is misguided and ultimately futile.
In a firm statement, Jubilee said the sustained attacks on Kenyatta are part of a broader scheme to distract Kenyans from pressing national challenges, including rising economic hardship, rampant corruption, excessive taxation, and what it termed failed leadership.
“Attempts to turn our Party Leader, H.E. former President Uhuru Kenyatta, into a boogeyman is a dead end for this regime and those aligned to it,” the party stated.
Jubilee dismissed the accusations as politically motivated falsehoods, insisting that it has never engaged in activities aimed at destabilising other political parties. The party reiterated its rejection of political thuggery, propaganda, and misinformation, saying such tactics undermine democratic discourse and national cohesion.
“These coordinated attacks are meant to distract Kenyans from the real issues affecting their daily lives,” the statement added.
Looking ahead, Jubilee said it is firmly focused on the future, outlining an ambitious rebuilding agenda as it prepares for 2026 and beyond. The party noted that it is undertaking nationwide membership recruitment, strengthening grassroots structures, and engaging openly with citizens across the country.
Jubilee further revealed that it is pursuing strategic political alliances grounded in the principles of good governance, accountability, and the rule of law, positioning itself as a credible alternative committed to democratic values.
“As we chart our path for 2026 and beyond, Jubilee is rebuilding through transparent engagement with Kenyans and partnerships anchored on good governance,” the party said.
The statement underscores Jubilee’s intention to reassert itself on the national political stage, while pushing back against narratives it believes are designed to deflect attention from the country’s most urgent economic and governance challenges.
