Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a strong message to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, urging him to stop any form of election-related intimidation in Mbeere North. Speaking ahead of his planned visit to the area, Gachagua said the people of Mbeere North deserve a democratic environment where they can make independent political choices.
He cautioned law enforcement agencies against being used for political purposes, saying their duty is to ensure peace and protect all Kenyans equally. “Mr. Douglas Kanja, IG of the National Police, you must stop threats of election in Mbeere North,” he stated firmly.
