President William Ruto has stated that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is focused on building strong national political parties whose philosophy, vision, and understanding transcend generations.
Speaking after chairing the UDA National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at State House, Nairobi, the President said the party’s decision to pursue coalition talks with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is strategic and forward-looking.
According to Ruto, the proposed UDA–ODM coalition guarantees a resounding victory in the 2027 General Election and offers the country another opportunity to continue implementing transformative programmes and policies.
He noted that the NGC fully backed the UDA National Executive Council’s resolution to engage ODM in coalition discussions, describing the move as essential for political stability, inclusive governance, and long-term national development.
Ruto emphasized that the coalition is not just about winning elections, but about entrenching a shared national vision capable of guiding Kenya’s progress beyond individual political cycles.
