Aden Duale has launched a fierce attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of profiling an entire community and region as terrorists.
In a strongly worded statement, Duale condemned what he described as divisive and reckless rhetoric, saying such remarks undermine national unity.
“Bwana Gachagua uko chini sana. Profiling a whole community and region as terrorists is a sad thing. We are glad that every time you open your mouth you vindicate those who impeached you!” Duale stated.
Duale further argued that Gachagua’s statements continue to justify the decision by lawmakers who supported his impeachment, claiming his public pronouncements demonstrate poor judgment.
Duale emphasised the need for issue-based politics and inclusive language, warning that careless statements could have far-reaching consequences.
As political rhetoric intensifies, calls for unity and responsible leadership remain central in shaping Kenya’s evolving political climate.
The Health Cabinet Secretary said leaders must exercise restraint and responsibility, particularly when addressing sensitive matters that could inflame ethnic tensions.
The exchange reflects escalating political tensions between government officials and the former Deputy President, as national discourse becomes increasingly charged ahead of the 2027 General Election.
