Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, visited the Nairobi home of the late Johana Ng’eno to offer condolences to his family.
The two leaders made the visit shortly after skipping a Parliamentary Group meeting convened by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a move that had drawn attention amid ongoing internal party tensions.
In a post shared on his official X account, Sifuna confirmed that he had accompanied colleagues from the National Assembly to Ng’eno’s Karen residence to stand with the family during the mourning period.
“Accompanied my colleagues from the National Assembly to the Nairobi home of the Late Hon Johana Ng’eno to condole with his family. We continue to pray for the family during this difficult period,” Sifuna stated.
Ng’eno, the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr, tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash that claimed several other passengers. His sudden death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from leaders across the political divide, who have described him as vocal, fearless, and dedicated to serving his constituents.
The condolence visit by Sifuna and Owino underscores the sombre mood within political circles as the nation continues to mourn the fallen legislator.
