Erastus Ethekon has urged Kenyans to take advantage of a voter registration drive scheduled during the People’s Dialogues Festival at Uhuru Park.
In a message rallying citizens to participate in the democratic process, Ethekon said the registration exercise will run from March 4 to March 7 and is aimed at increasing voter participation ahead of future elections.
“Mlisema siri ni numbers, tumewaskia! Tumewaletea voter registration hapo Uhuru Park kutoka 4th hadi 7th March, kwenye People’s Dialogues Festival. Tunakuja kubanja!” he said.
The statement, delivered partly in Swahili and Sheng, loosely translates to a call for action, telling Kenyans that if numbers are the key to political power, then registering as voters is the first step toward influencing leadership and national decisions.
The voter registration activity is expected to attract many young people attending the festival, which focuses on civic engagement, governance discussions, and public participation in national affairs.
Organisers believe the initiative will help boost voter awareness and encourage more citizens to actively participate in shaping Kenya’s political landscape through the ballot.
