Dan Maanzo has disclosed that the opposition is already laying out a comprehensive national plan aimed at preventing vote rigging in the upcoming 2027 Kenyan General Election.
Speaking on Thursday, March 5, 2026, during an interview with a local television station, the Makueni County senator warned that Kenyans would not accept disputed election results similar to those witnessed in previous electoral cycles.
Maanzo, who represents the Wiper Democratic Movement, said the opposition coalition is preparing to deploy agents to every polling station across the country to safeguard the integrity of the vote and ensure transparency during the election process.
According to the senator, opposition leaders have drawn critical lessons from past elections where several parties raised concerns about alleged irregularities and manipulation of results. He noted that this time the coalition intends to be better prepared to protect the will of the voters.
Maanzo further emphasised that ensuring credible elections is essential for maintaining public trust in the democratic process, adding that strong monitoring mechanisms at polling stations will help deter any attempts to interfere with the outcome.
The remarks come amid increasing political mobilisation across the country as parties begin early preparations for the 2027 polls, with leaders from both the government and opposition camps stepping up strategies to consolidate support and strengthen their electoral structures.
